Your customer journey just doesn't begin and end w Your customer journey just doesn't begin and end when they purchase the product. It starts way before that....

Here are the 5 steps of your customer takes when purchasing your brand.

Awareness - this is as you would think when the customer becomes aware of your brand through social media or word of mouth and is the first touch point your customer has and it can take someone a few times to become aware of your brand and remember it, so make sure you are launching on social media channels as soon as you can before your product launch. If you can I would do this at least 3 months before.

Consideration. Your customer might be looking at reviews comparing you to other brands and weighing up weather to purchase from you or not, so do you have your reviews on your website,/social media pages, can you use user generated content from happy customers

Decision - They have committed , the item is in the basket and they are going to make the purchase so you want to make sure that its something that is easy to do, has the payment methods they need and that are convenient to them so that everything flows

Delivery & Use OK so customers want quick and easy delivery and to be communicated with if there is a problem, don't forget the communication on this step!

Advocacy & Loyalty - Your aim here as a brand is that you want the customer to have had such a great experience that they are referring you to friends, and coming back for repeating purchase. there are ways that you can try and gaurantee this process by using refer a friend, making sure you ask for the review with a follow up after sales email.

Yes you can! ⁣ Ideally you might want a range bu Yes you can! ⁣
Ideally you might want a range but if you can't do the ideal then the most important thing is that you do something and start. ⁣
⁣
Also instead of having lots of styles if its clothing look at having 1 style in a few colours. ⁣
⁣
Launching just one product is quite common in the beauty & skincare industry and recently I was chatting to Louise founder of @louisethomasskincare who has products waiting to launch but financially needed to launch with one first ⁣
⁣
Why is this a good idea? ⁣
⁣
All your money is not tied up in stock so you have a better cash flow and can spend money on other areas like influencer marketing, advertising, PR ⁣
⁣
You get to test the brand and prove that what you have works. ⁣
⁣
You can tease your audience with products coming soon and if they are in development you can get feedback from your customers that you may input into the range. ⁣

What has beauty got lined up for us? Probably one What has beauty got lined up for us?
Probably one of the biggest trade fairs and one of my favourites happened in bologna last week which was @cosmoprofworldwide here are just a handful of the trends that were shown there.

No more H2O
Waterless beauty and water conscious products.
Many of these products contain natural oils and botanical ingredients. The Less water in the product the more concentrated the ingredients. Less waste left behind and lighter to transport
Some examples are shampoo bars manufactured by iteritalia & brands like @nuddyofficial

Novelty & Techy
Sensoring & fun products in cosmetics with transforming textures turning ordinary beauty into something fun & experimental
Nail mists from C&Chic Hub
Solid to serum products from Pharma cos

Self care & Wellness
Not a suprise here that after the last few years this is high on the agenda. Formulations the give body positive and mood enhancing treatments
Focusing on Sleep, mental wellness, skincare that creates a ritual of the process

What I learnt from being on tv.. So on Sunday nig What I learnt from being on tv..
So on Sunday night a programme I filmed a few months ago aired on Channel 5. It was "How do they do it" based on @primark as I worked there for about 5 years I was approached to give some information behind the scenes on how they can do the prices they do and some more insight about their business model.
To be honest I was dreading watching it because I didn't have a clue how it would be edited or what I would look like. (My husband reminded me the camera adds 10lbs!)

Here’s my thoughts
* When opportunities come your way - Just say yes and go for it you can figure the details out later

* You never know what else it will lead to, I've had people connecting with me on linked in, Facebook & Instagram since It aired. so make sure your repurpose your content where you can and let people know about it, don't be afraid to blow your own trumpet!

* If it scares you - that's okay, it's out of your comfort zone and we all know to grow we've got to step outside your comfort zone!

* You never know who is watching you and your brand, no matter how big or small. The producer who reached out to me couldn't remember how she found me but there is always someone watching. Even if you feel like you are talking to nobody, keep going.

* Prepare - I know this may seem obvious and you might know your subject inside out but by preparing you will feel more confident and also seem more natural, so weather that's for your retail meeting to buyers or your first live whatever it is have a guide of what you want to talk through to get your point across.

Although my business wasn't mentioned it was still good PR and I've mentioned this before but a great facebook group to join @charlottexcrisp group Lightbulb which is a direct link to journalists to help you get more press for your business, also for tips on generating your own PR follow on IG @bossyourpr and @lucywernerpr
From filming this in my sitting room with a film c From filming this in my sitting room with a film crew to now watching it in my sitting room talking about how Primark do it on channel 5 this is the link to watch https://www.channel5.com/show/primark-how-do-they-do-it. #primark #channel5 #howdotheydoit #retailconsultant #businessmentor
